Liberty Christian Fellowship is led by a ministry team and board of directors. We are a 100% volunteer-run organization, blessed to oversee an 11-acre property in Western MD, where we base our ministry and outreach.
History of Liberty Christian Fellowship:
The ministry was established July 6, 1969 originally in Mount Savage, MD by John W. Gordon as Liberty Temple. It joined the Full Gospel Fellowship of Churches and Ministers International which it is still a member of today. Later, Liberty Temple moved to Cresaptown, MD on 10.9 acres in October of 1978 and was then known as Liberty Temple Christian Center. On April 17,1985 Gary L. Gordon was ordained and became the Pastor. Effective January 1, 1996 the name was officially changed to Liberty Christian Fellowship.
Throughout their many years of service, Gary and his wife Linda lead the ministry along with family members and dear friends. During the Spring of 2020 we launched our Drive-in outdoor Sunday Service that lead to the vision of building an outdoor venue. On August 30, 2020 ground was officially broken to build a pavilion and name it "The Mission Place". Since then the pavilion hosts our Sunday Service during the warmer months and serves as a venue for various other outdoor events throughout the year.
Today the ministry continues to thrive and share the love of Jesus through many outreaches in the community.
